About

Quartz countertops are engineered surfaces made from approximately 90-95% natural quartz crystals combined with resins and pigments. This manufacturing process creates a surface that’s harder than granite, non-porous, and available in virtually unlimited colors and patterns.

Unlike natural stone, quartz is consistent from slab to slab—so you can achieve a uniform look throughout your kitchen or bathroom. And because it’s non-porous, it never needs sealing.

At Got Granite Guys, we work with leading quartz manufacturers to offer a wide selection of colors, from classic marble looks to bold modern designs. Every countertop is precision-fabricated in our shop and professionally installed by our own team.

Your questions answered

Common questions

No. Quartz is an engineered surface. Quartzite is a natural stone (similar to granite). They look similar but have different properties. We can help you understand the differences.

We recommend using trivets. While quartz is heat-resistant, extreme heat can damage the resin and cause discoloration.

Warm water and mild dish soap work great. Avoid abrasive scrubbers and harsh chemicals like bleach.

Quartz is extremely hard and scratch-resistant, but heavy impacts on edges can cause chips. We recommend avoiding cutting directly on the surface.

Pricing is similar across mid-range options. Some premium quartz lines can cost more than standard granite. We offer options at multiple price points.
